MEET MRS. BATTENFIELD...
I am honored to be a kindergarten teacher at LNES! I live in Mission Viejo with my husband Alan and our two dogs. Our daughter Riley is first grade teacher in Georgia. She is a product of Capistrano Unified School District and we couldn't be more proud of her. I have taught with Capistrano Unified School District for 31 years. I hold a Bachelor’s in Education, a Masters in Reading Instruction, a California Teaching Credential, and a Reading Specialist Credential. I am passionate about teaching children! I strive to create a positive learning environment where all students achieve, feel confident and safe to take risks, where they feel loved and celebrated, and where children are encouraged to become lifelong learners. My hope is to make a positive impact in the lives of each of my students.

Extended Day Kindergarten 7:45 - 1:55
***Thursdays (early dismissal) 7:45 - 12:40
7:45 - 9:30 Centers
9:30 - 9:50 Recess
9:50 - 10:50 Reading Instruction
10:50 - 11:30 Lunch
11:30 - 1:00 Math
1:00 - 1:20 Recess
1:20 - 1:55 Science, Social Studies, STEAM Activities
1:55 Dismissal (10 minutes before the rest of the school)
Library: Tuesday 8:30
Primary Music: Tuesdays at 11:25
